  2. Day 2 Amman โ€“ Jerash โ€“ Ajloun โ€“ Dead Sea overnight

    Distance: 53 min (50.7 km)
Your first destination will be Jerash: The ancient city of Jerash is one of the most popular attractions in Jordan behind Petra.

It is considered one of the largest and most well-preserved sites of Roman architecture in the world outside of Italy and its history goes back more than 6,500 years.
The city’s golden age came under Roman rule, during which time it was known as Gerasa, and the site is now generally acknowledged to be one of the best-preserved Roman provincial towns in the world.
In Jerash you will explore Jerash Archaeological Museum, south theatre, north theatre, nymphaeum, cathedral, colonnaded street, oval plaza, hippodrome.

    Distance: 30 min (18.9 km)

Taking a ride north to Ajloun will allow you to visit Ajloun castle: more formally known as Qal’at Ar-Rabad, towers above the green hills of Ajloun and can be seen from many miles away, betraying its strategic purpose as a military watch post that protected the trade routes in the
12th-15th centuries. It was first built in 1184 by one of Saladin’s generals, Izzeldin Usama, to repel the Crusader threats to north Jordan.

    Distance: 1 hr 43 min (87.9 km)
The last destination today will be at the Dead Sea! you will take a wonderful journey to the Dead Sea, also known as the lowest point on Earth. You will spend the day relaxing by the sea. Trying the mineral-rich mud and floating in the water of the Dead Sea, you will relax and enjoy the healing properties of the mineral-rich water. Spend the night by the Dead Sea!

  3. Day 3 Dead Sea โ€“ Petra visit โ€“ Wadi Rum visit โ€“ Wadi Rum overnight

    Distance: 3 hr. 14 min (196.4 km)

On this day you will visit one of the Seven Wonders of the World (Petra), Take in the captivating splendor of Jordan’s most famous landmark, the rose-red City of Petra, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage site. Walk through the magnificent Siq, a tiny canyon with towering rocks on
either side that serves as the dramatic entrance to Petra, for the first 700 meters of your exploration.

Also, you will explore the little Petra (Beidha): is a fascinating site due it the similarities with
Petra. Like the ancient city of Petra, Al Beidha is constructed behind a narrow canyon which acts as a passageway. The Cold Siq of Al Beidha is slightly smaller than The Siq at Petra and visitors will need to hike through it to reach the ruins of Little Petra. The cliffs that surround the ruins of Little Petra are eroded by wind and are very interesting to see. There are many broken tablets located around the site which dates to the Neolithic period.

    Distance: 1 hr. 40 min (104.6 km)

Afterward, you will head to Wadi Rum; a stunning desert valley located in southern Jordan. It is famous for its breathtaking red sand dunes, towering rock formations, and vast open landscapes. Here you will experience a night under the stars and enjoy a full desert vibe, where
you can see the sunset while taking a jeep safari tour and then enjoy the Bedouin party & traditional dinner called Zarb. Enjoy the night at your camp!

  4. Day 4 Queen Alia international airport โ€“ Cairo overnight

    Distance: 3 hr. 21 min (289.1 km)
โ€œWe hope you enjoyed your visit in Jordan.โ€
You will be driven from Wadi Rum to Queen Alia International Airport in Amman. While you transfer to your next destination, think back on the invaluable experiences you had while visiting Jordan.

    ๐Ÿ˜Š Thanks for your visit!
Arrival, reception, and transfer from the airport to the hotel. Accommodation. In the afternoon, walk in Cairo in the evening

  5. Day 5 Cairo Pyramids โ€“Egyptian Museum

After breakfast we head to the Giza pyramid complex, where we’ll see the pyramids of Khufu (the father), Khafre (the son) and Menkaure (the grandson). Of the three pyramids The Great Pyramid of Giza (Khufu) is the largest, Khafre is the second largest, and Menkaure is considerably smaller than the other two. The sheer size of them will leave you in awe for a lifetime.

A short walk away we’ll have private access to the feet of the sphinx for a photo opportunity and to see the Spinx close up.

After a short drive through the insane streets of Cairo we will arrive at my favorite museum in the world, the old Cairo museum. It’s absolutely jam packed with items from the old kingdom starting with Narmer to the Ptolemaic period that ended with Cleopatra. The Tutankhamun section is definitely a highlight, but having been many times and spending whole days here its a place you’ll want to come back to.

Back to the hotel for a well deserved rest.

  6. Day 6 Cairo-Aswan

This morning we make our way to Cairo airport after breakfast for our transfer to Aswan, Egypt’s southern most city only 300km’s from the Sudanese border. You’ll notice the different look and feel of this place as the architecture, culture and food are quiet a contrast from Cairo.

With its laid back vibes and colorful buildings Aswan is a great place to relax after the hustle of the largest city in Africa.

On arrival we’ll make our way to the Philae temple dedicated to Isis, isolated farther up the Nile. It’s a beautiful sight to explore on a sunny day.

After check in we’ll take a Felucca ride on the Nile to a Nubian village, where we will see the colorful buildings and fabrics that are so common in this part of Egypt.

  7. Day 7 Aswan / Luxor

Today we take a road trip to Luxor, stopping at Kom Ombo which in old times was know as Nubt (City of gold) as this area was a gateway to the kingdom of Kush.

After we’ll head to Edfu to the Ptolemaic temple of Osiris which wasย  kept in an amazing state as it was buried by hundreds of years of desert sand and river silt from the Nile.

From here we head to my absolute favorite part of Egypt, Luxor.

  8. Day 8 Luxor

This morning we’re out early to catch the light at Karnak, an enormous 4000 year old site with multiple temples, chapels and awe inspiring entrances. We’ll see the Great hypostyle hall its towering pylons, the Temple of Thutmose III with its colours still vivid after thousands of years. It’s not hard to get overwhelmed by the sheer size of this 247 acre site.

Later we make our way to Luxor temple which was started by Amenhotep III and finished by the boy king Tutankhamen. This massive site is spread over 10 sections, with a gigantic entrance to inspire and awe all who see it. This was more of a Pharaonic festival site but as always in the new kingdom in Thebes (Luxor) there are sites for the trio Amun, Mut and Khonsu.

  9. Day 9 Luxor

This morning we have an optional sunrise horse tour through the back streets of west bank into the desert near Hatshepsut’s temple, where wind allows we’ll see the balloons launching over the cane fields with the morning light, its well worth getting up early for. There are horses, camels, donkey’s or even a cart to ride.

After we’ll head to the West bank to visit the Mortuary temple of Hatshepsut an amazing Pharaoh, you’ll see her strong relationship with Amun at every turn.

Afterwards we head into the Valley of the Kings where over 62 tombs have been found. In the time of the New Kingdom the Pharaohs were laid to rest here, as yet all that have been discovered have been looted other than Tutankhamen’s grave which you’ve seen the contents of in the Cairo museum. You’ll see amazingly colorfulย  carvings, inscriptions and walkways.

We head back to our hotel early today as we have an optional night tour through Karnak where we will be the only ones there.

  10. Day 10 Luxor / Cairo

Relaxing day today, we have a rest day before our flights to Cairo. A good time to wonder and explore the streets of Luxor.

  11. Day 11 Cairo / Home

This morning we have our last breakfast together before our transfer to the Airport.

We hope you’ll come back as there is so much more to see.

    Thank You

Egypt and Jordan are both safe for tourists. However, itโ€™s best to remain vigilant in crowded areas. Very quiet and dimly lit areas are also best avoided at night just as an extra precaution.

In Jordan, the military is responsible for security, so expect to see soldiers. Military-manned check points are also quite common. While you may be required to show your passport, there is no reason to be concerned.

Under no circumstance would we ever include any dangerous or potentially dangerous areas or places in our tour itineraries. We are not willing to make any exceptions whatsoever. We have a vast network of people on the ground in all the destinations that feature in our tours, and we make it our business to stay well-informed at all times concerning safety and/or a lack thereof.

Furthermore, when you travel with Adventurer, you almost always have at least one of our representatives with you who is local to the area in which you are traveling. Also, because our tours focus almost entirely of the top attractions in the various destinations we service, the countries that host these attractions provide a very high level of security because it is in their own best interest to safeguard their tourism industries.

Generally speaking, there are no notable health concerns to worry about when traveling to the Middle East. However, some travelers do chose to get vaccinated for Hepatitis C; Typhoid Fever, and Tetanus.

To a great extent, sunburn; heatstroke and upset tummies are the biggest health concerns for visiting tourists, even though these are easily avoidable. For example, most stomach problems arise from drinking contaminated water and from eating food from questionable restaurants or vendors. Only drink bottled water, and if you want to sample local food and/or street food, always buy it from vendors and/or restaurant who are serving a lot of locals.

As in seen most spiritual and Historical sites around the world its important to dress accordingly. Being Muslim countries the dress code is conservative and respectful. In the Hotels and Nile cruise you can dress down if you wish.
