No prior horse riding experience is required, but general fitness and a sense of adventure are recommended. Our local horsemen and guides will provide support, and the horses are well-trained for mountain trekking.
Tour meals are included as indicated in the itinerary.
In the Gobi Desert, ger camps serve occasional European but mainly Mongolian meals. Meat is the main ingredient for meals and is served for lunch and dinner with vegetables, salads, and soups. There will be more meat in traditional Mongolian meals.
A typical breakfast includes tea or coffee, bread, jam, butter, eggs, and sausage. There are some cookies, cheese, cereals, pancakes, and more at some ger camps for breakfast.
For lunch, meals include salads, Mongolian soups, main course (pasta, rice, vegetables, beef/mutton/chicken/fish near lakes/rivers), dessert, and tea.
Ger camps serve salads, the main course, a dessert, and tea for dinner. You will join nomads for nomadic lunch for one day. Different types of meals offered simultaneously are not customary in Mongolian tradition.
You’ll stay in a mix of 3–4 star hotels, family homestays, traditional yurts, and wilderness camping. All accommodations are arranged for cultural immersion and comfort in remote areas.
We recommend bringing warm clothing, a rain jacket, gloves, sunglasses, sunscreen, and good waterproof hiking or riding boots. A full packing list will be provided upon booking.
Yes, vegetarian meals can be arranged with prior notice. While traditional Kyrgyz cuisine is meat-heavy, our team will do its best to accommodate dietary needs during the trek.
The price includes transportation, all meals, horse rental, local guides, camping gear, accommodation, entry fees, and cultural experiences. Flights, visas, insurance, and personal expenses are not included.
